ATAS International has named Jim Luster, CSI, Mike Krahling, CSI, CDT, and Jon Loftus as the recipients of the annual Malan S. Parker Award, which recognizes the top ATAS sales professionals each year. Malan S. “Steve” Parker was an exemplary ATAS product representative in the New England territory, and he passed away in 2002. Since then, to honor his hard work and dedication to ATAS, the sales professionals of the year award is now known as the Malan S. Parker Award.

Luster is the product representative for Florida, and it’s the first year that he has won this award. He was originally the ATAS product representative for the Carolinas and southern Virginia and moved to Florida last year to take over that territory. Luster has been with ATAS for four and a half years and prior to that, he worked in sales positions within distribution. He is certified in metal roof installation by the Metal Construction Association and is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute. Luster received a BBA degree from Kent State University.

Krahling is now the product representative for the Carolinas and southern Virginia. Prior to that, he was the territory manager for eastern Pennsylvania. Krahling has been with ATAS for 10 years, and he has won this award twice previously. He is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and has served on several CSI boards and committees in the past. Krahling is a CSI Certified Documents Technologist and is also certified in metal roof installation by the MCA. He has worked in the industry for over 30 years, including 10 years with ATAS earlier in his career.

Loftus is the inside technical salesperson for the Carolinas and southern Virginia territory, having assisted both Luster and Krahling in their sales efforts. He joined ATAS over five and a half years ago. Loftus served 11 years in the United States Army Reserves, and he is also certified in metal roof installation by the MCA. He attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology for building construction technology.

Luster, Krahling and Loftus were chosen as this year’s winners for their teamwork in overall sales growth and observance of corporate goals and objectives. Loftus’ support of Luster, Krahling and their customers within the region was instrumental to the growth realized in that area.

“ATAS is pleased to recognize the efforts of Jim Luster, Jon Loftus and Mike Krahling in growing the Carolinas territory in 2022,” said Mark Bus, National Sales Manager. “The combination of design assistance, delivery of educational sessions, service and technical advice by Jim and Jon has made a positive impact in that area. Now that Jim has transferred to Florida, we are confident that territory will also benefit from his experience. After many years of success as an ATAS product rep in eastern Pennsylvania, Mike transferred down to the Carolinas last year, where he is already forming many professional relationships within his new territory, continuing the growth momentum in that area. ATAS and David Srokose, ATAS’ Southeast District Sales Manager, are fortunate to have Jim, Jon and Mike on their sales team.”
