The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration announced three upcoming health benefits laws compliance seminars in August and September in Arizona, Colorado and Nevada. The seminars are partnerships between DOL and state insurance agencies to provide practical information, helpful tips and important clarifications regarding state and federal health benefits laws. Topics to be covered include COBRA continuation coverage, the FMLA and recent changes to federal law. The seminars are free, however, interested individuals must pre-register on a first-come, first-served basis.

The seminars will be held as follows: on Aug. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. MT and Aug. 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. MT at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix-Tempe, 4400 South Rural Road in Tempe, Arizona, 85282 (register here by Aug. 21); on Aug. 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. MT and Aug. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. MT at the Sheraton Denver West Hotel, 360 Union Boulevard in Lakewood, Colorado, 80228 (register here by Aug. 25); and on Sept. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. PT and Sept. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. PT at The Blind Center of Nevada, 1001 N Bruce Street in Las Vegas, 89101 (register here by Sept. 15).
