The Metal Construction Association has announced the featured events and speakers for its upcoming 2024 Winter Meeting. Members and prospective members are invited to attend the three-day event taking place Jan. 29-31 in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort & Villas.

The meeting’s keynote presentation, “From Washington to your Workplace: Tactics and Strategies the Smartest Leaders are Making to Navigate and Grow in 2024-2025,” will be presented by author and business advisor Gene Marks. Marks will discuss the significant business changes that artificial intelligence will herald, how evolving federal and local regulatory changes will affect business operations, and how to anticipate and navigate coming economic and industry challenges.

Other important events include:

  • Codes and Standards Session: Dave Cocuzzi, technical director at the National Coil Coating Association, and Bob Zabcik will discuss sustainability, ongoing chemistry issues and more.
  • MRA Session: Mark Zehnal, director of FORTIFIED Roof at the Insurance Institute for Business Home Safety, and Renee Ramey will discuss their residential roof program and opportunities available through certification programs.
  • Keynote Session: Steve Lowrey, founder of Steel Research Associates, will discuss how to make strategic decisions to anticipate the market and will also share pertinent data about the steel industry, including roofing, siding and walls.

The meeting will also include industry education topics, highlights from METALCON, council meetings, a golf outing to support the new MCA Scholarship Program, and social opportunities for attendees to meet peers and network with industry leaders.
