ATAS International has named Kyle Ferenc, CSI, and Cathy Parrino as the 2023 recipients of the annual Malan S. Parker Award, which recognizes the top ATAS sales professionals each year. Malan S. “Steve” Parker was an exemplary ATAS product representative in the New England territory, and he passed away in 2002. Since then, to honor his hard work and dedication to ATAS, the Sales Team of the Year Award is now known as the Malan S. Parker Award. Ferenc and Parrino were chosen as the 2023 winners for their teamwork in overall sales growth and observance of corporate goals and objectives.

Ferenc is the ATAS Product Representative for northern Illinois and all of Wisconsin, and it’s the first year he has won this award. Ferenc has been with ATAS for close to four years and has a total of 17 years of experience in architectural building products sales. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and government from the University of Iowa and a certification in metal roof installation from the Metal Construction Association. Ferenc serves on the board of directors for the Construction Specifications Institute Chicago chapter and is the chair of the committee for the chapter’s CSi2eye 2024 — an annual, premier, one-on-one technical education event held in Chicago on May 9.

Parrino is an inside technical salesperson at ATAS and has been there for four years. She provided support to Ferenc within their territory in 2023. Prior to joining ATAS, she was an inside sales rep for Pella Windows and Doors at its Staten Island, New York, showroom. Earlier in her career, Parrino was a building manager assistant for nine years with a major company that owned and developed buildings throughout New York City, where she dealt with contractors, tenants and the engineering team.

“The region this team covers, Illinois and Wisconsin, has been a growing market for us,” said Mark Bus, national sales manager at ATAS. “We have great customer partnerships and a new manufacturing facility located in this region. Kyle and Cathy did a tremendous job increasing company sales and furthering our expansion in that region.”

Teaming him up with Cathy, who exudes these same characteristics, makes for an unbeatable team. Congratulations to them both.”
