Armstrong’s Axiom Indirect Field Light Coves and Indirect Light Ledges are Now Keyless

Keyless options enable pre-engineered lighting solutions to be used with most LED light cove fixtures in straight and curved applications

By adding new keyless design options to its line of Axiom Indirect Field Light Coves and Indirect Light Ledges, Armstrong World Industries now offers its customers the flexibility to use the pre-engineered lighting solutions with most LED light cove fixtures.

The addition of the keyless options greatly expands the convenience and seamless-integration capabilities of the line of light coves and light ledges. In addition to the new keyless options, the Axiom Indirect Field Light Coves and Indirect Light Ledges are also available with a keyway that allows for seamless integration with light cove fixtures from Armstrong lighting partners Axis Lighting and Vode Lighting.

“Partner light fixtures that accommodate the keyway offer the most predictable lighting performance and plug-and-play installation,” said Stephen Yeager, Axiom product manager at Armstrong World Industries. “However, with the new keyless option, just about any standard LED light cove fixture can be utilized, giving our customers more opportunities to take advantage of these pre-engineered modular cove solutions.”

Straight and Curved Applications, Unique to the Industry

Available for both straight and curved applications, the easy-to-specify light coves and light ledges can be field-cut for length and modified for additional flexibility if unexpected conditions arise in the field. “Without the keyway, the light coves can be curved if the conditions in the field require it,” Yeager added. “This is a first for the industry.”

The new keyless options are made from extruded aluminum and offered in both Classic and Knife Edge profiles with both inside and outside corners. The Keyless Indirect Field Light Coves are available in Classic 4-Inch Straight and Knife Edge for acoustical panels, and Knife Edge for drywall options. The Keyless Indirect Light Ledges are available in Classic 2-Inch and Knife Edge for drywall options.

Saves Time and Labor

The Axiom Indirect Field Light Coves and Indirect Light Ledges install up to 90 percent faster and require just 10 percent of the labor of traditional light coves, and they also provide more control over the finished aesthetics. They install as part of a complete ceiling system, allowing for perfect integration with all Armstrong suspension systems.

The Axiom Indirect Field Light Coves and Indirect Light Ledges are part of the Armstrong Sustain portfolio and meet the most-stringent industry sustainability compliance standards today. They are also part of the Armstrong CleanAssure family of disinfectable panels, suspension systems and trim.
