Orbital Drywall Sander

Orbital Drywall Sander

Festool USA

The Planex LHS 2 225 Drywall Sander features a LED light ring that ensures detailed visibility of the sanding path and the sander enables the user to see any unevenness on the surface during sanding. Because this on-board illumination immediately highlights surface irregularities, it also reduces the time needed to fix any problems, helping end-users achieve a better finished product in less time. The product uses a random orbit sanding motion to eliminate grooves and to ensure a flawless finish. The adjustable suction power on the lightweight tool, which keeps the tool snug with the work surface—helps to reduce the workload placed on the user’s arms and back. The tool connects to the CT 36 E AC dust extractor to create a nearly dust-free sanding solution. To also combat dust, Festool has unveiled a new version of the high-quality Granat abrasive. A new hole pattern allows for even better dust extraction when used with any of the Festool drywall sanders. For more information, visit festoolusa.com.

Seamless Acoustical Ceiling/Wall System

Seamless Acoustical Ceiling/Wall System

Armstrong World Industries

AcoustiBuilt Seamless Acoustical Ceiling and Wall System panels combine a smooth, non-directional, monolithic visual with excellent sound absorption and sound blocking.

One-pass Cornerbead

One-pass Cornerbead

ClarkDietrich

Pro-Flex300 is a muddable, PVC-free flexible cornerbead that wipes down in as little as one pass. It installs with half the amount of compound needed when compared to standard cornerbeads. Because the paper surface is pretreated to accept paint, finishing compound is not required over the laminated area. Made with a reinforced paper backing that adds durability and impact resistance, the bead will not fuzz-up during finish sanding like paper and mesh tapes. The 3-inch cornerbead features a memory-free hinge that can be adjusted to any angle, creating perfect inside and outside 90° or off-angle corners, including bay windows and vaulted, coffered and tray ceilings. The extra width makes it ideal for corners where gaps are present or where a large fill or straightening is required, no backfilling needed. To learn more, visit clarkdietrich.com.

Drywall Finishing Robot

Drywall Finishing Robot

Canvas

With drive assist, Canvas’ 1200CX machine is capable of completing entire wall sections without manual intervention. First, the worker sets up the first machine at the beginning of a wall section, selecting which parts of the wall to do. Once confirmed, the machine will position itself along the wall in front of the appropriate workspaces and execute either the spraying or sanding function on its own. Each wall takes between 20-60 min depending on the size of the wall. This leaves the worker time to set up a second machine and have 15-55 minutes of time to execute manual workflows in parallel. Machines can continue making progress during worker breaks, accelerating productivity further. For more information, visit canvas.build.
