Webcor LP Acquires GCON to Expand Technology Construction Capabilities Across U.S.
Webcor LP has entered a definitive agreement to acquire GCON, combining expertise to target high-growth technology construction markets while maintaining GCON’s brand and leadership.

Webcor LP, a full-service commercial builder based in San Francisco, and GCON, a Phoenix-based construction management firm renowned for its work in mission-critical technology environments, data centers, and semiconductor projects, announced a definitive agreement under which Webcor will acquire GCON. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2025, pending customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
This strategic partnership positions Webcor to expand into high-growth technology construction markets, leveraging GCON’s deep sector expertise. At the same time, GCON will benefit from the financial strength and resources of Webcor and its parent company, Obayashi, enabling the firm to pursue larger and more complex projects.
“This acquisition represents a major opportunity for Webcor to broaden our portfolio and enter previously untapped markets,” said Matt Rossie, President and CEO of Webcor. “GCON brings unmatched experience in technology construction. Together, we can pursue innovative projects while preserving the unique strengths of both organizations.”
GCON will continue to operate independently under its current leadership and brand, with guidance from Webcor LP. This structure allows both companies to retain their distinct identities while gaining access to expanded resources and shared expertise.
“We’re excited to launch this strategic relationship with Webcor,” said Mike Godbehere, CEO of GCON. “Partnering with a respected California firm that shares our commitment to safety, quality, innovation, and community enables us to continue growing while delivering exceptional results for our clients.”
GCON will maintain its Phoenix headquarters, employee base, leadership team, and brand identity as part of Webcor, ensuring continuity for clients and employees. Both companies remain dedicated to their clients, project partners, and communities while pursuing mutual growth and enhanced capabilities through this strategic collaboration.
RBCCM served as GCON’s exclusive financial advisor, and BaseRock Partners represented Webcor in the transaction.
