ATAS International announced the expansion of its offering of prepainted aluminum flat sheets and coils to include thicknesses up to .118 inches. This strategic enhancement provides architects, fabricators, and contractors with greater design flexibility and structural performance for demanding applications.

The expanded thickness range addresses increasing market demand for heavier-gauge, prefinished metal materials that combine durability and aesthetic versatility. By offering prepainted flat sheet and coil in gauges up to .118-inch thickness, ATAS enables customers to achieve enhanced impact resistance, improved load capacity, and long-term performance, while maintaining the benefits of factory-applied finishes. These finishes result in consistent, high-quality coatings, which ensure color retention, durability, and corrosion resistance.

“Design professionals are pushing the boundaries of what metal can do in the building envelope,” said Jim Bush, vice president of sales and marketing with ATAS. “By expanding our prepainted aluminum flat sheet and coil offering to thicker gauges, we are providing the market with high-performance material options that meet structural demands without sacrificing finish quality or visual appeal.”

The expanded product line includes a total of eight aluminum thicknesses, starting at .032 all the way up to .118.  The addition of .080, .090, .100, and .118-inch thick prepainted aluminum supports the growing use of metal in high-performance building envelopes, where strength, longevity, and sustainability are critical. Thicker prepainted material options also allow for greater customization in formed profiles, brake shapes, and specialty architectural components.
