Knauf Insulation has expanded its Performance+ Basement Wall Insulation line with a new R-19 option for residential basement applications.

Designed for new home construction, the product helps builders and contractors meet building code requirements that call for higher thermal performance in basement walls. The insulation features a wider, folded-tab facing designed to streamline installation and provide a cleaner finished appearance.

The new R-19 product joins the existing Performance+ portfolio, which uses a formaldehyde-free binder and has been third-party tested for low dust levels and low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions after installation. The Performance+ insulation line is also certified through the Asthma & Allergy Friendly Certification Program, developed by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America in partnership with Allergy Standards Ltd.
