J.J. Keller SPOTY Award Deadline Nears
J.J. Keller urges safety professionals to apply for 2026 SPOTY Awards before July 31 deadline.
J.J. Keller & Associates is reminding safety professionals that only two weeks remain to apply or be nominated for the 2026 Safety Professional of the Year Awards, with submissions closing at 5 p.m. CST on July 31.
Since its launch in 2002, the SPOTY Awards have recognized environmental, health and safety professionals whose leadership helps create safer workplaces and ensures employees return home safely at the end of each workday. Over the past two decades, the program has grown into one of the industry's most respected honors for safety professionals.
Eligible applicants and nominators can submit entries through the online application form available at JJKeller.com/SPOTY.
The awards recognize outstanding safety professionals across three company-size categories (small, medium and large) acknowledging the unique challenges EHS leaders face in organizations of varying scale. The program is open to safety professionals in the United States and Canada whose employers are customers of J.J. Keller.
This year's winners will receive prize packages valued at up to $47,200, with each recipient able to tailor part of the award to best fit their organization's needs. In addition to a commemorative SPOTY plaque, winners will receive a $1,000 donation to the nonprofit organization of their choice, $750 toward J.J. Keller SAFEGEAR personal protective equipment, and their selection of one of several subscription-based safety and compliance solutions.
Prize options include a one-year subscription to the J.J. Keller Safety Management Suite, a one-year Compliance Network membership with Hazmat Edge or Environmental Edge, an Advanced Plus subscription to the Training Management Service with virtual reality training capabilities, or a one-year subscription to Leave Manager with HRIS integration.
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of J. J. Keller safety and compliance experts.
The 2026 SPOTY Award winners will be announced in September and will be featured during a J.J. Keller webcast in October, highlighting their contributions to advancing workplace safety and compliance.
Safety professionals interested in applying or nominating a colleague have until July 31, 2026, to submit their entries.
