July 24, 2026

Laser technology continues to improve layout accuracy, visibility and efficiency for wall and ceiling contractors working in demanding jobsite conditions. From compact rechargeable models to advanced three-plane systems with automatic alignment, today’s lasers are designed to simplify leveling, squaring and layout tasks while reducing setup time. Green-beam technology, now featured across many new products, delivers brighter, more visible lines for interior and exterior applications. Enhanced durability, longer runtime and hands-free mounting options also help contractors work more efficiently throughout the day. These latest laser tools from these companies offer solutions tailored to a wide range of commercial and residential construction needs.

Three-plane Laser with Automatic Alignment, Receiver

Milwaukee Tool

The M12 Green 360˚ 3-Plane Laser w/Automatic Alignment & Receiver Kit provides Automatic Alignment and 70 percent Brighter Lines for a faster, more accurate layout onsite. With the kitted Receiver, users can Automatically Align the Laser up to 125 feet, making the layout of long runs more efficient. Users will get 10 plus hours of runtime in standard brightness and 6 plus hours of runtime in boosted mode when paired with the 4.0 XC battery pack. Professionals can adjust the brightness and put the laser to sleep from the receiver, which is ideal for saving power during breaks. The three 360° planes include horizontal and two vertical lines for fast and easy alignment, leveling, squaring, and transfers, allowing users to easily lay out large spaces with one tool. For more information, visit milwaukeetool.com/lasers.

Compact Layout Laser Tool

DeWalt

The company's DCLE14361GB USB-C rechargeable green 3x360° line laser is designed to streamline layout tasks for wall and ceiling contractors. Featuring a compact, lightweight design, the tool delivers ±1/8-inch accuracy at 33 feet for precise alignment and leveling. A fine adjustment knob allows users to make quick corrections with added control on the jobsite. Built to reduce downtime, the laser charges in under 30 minutes and provides up to nine hours of runtime per charge. The three 360-degree green laser lines enhance visibility for interior applications, while the smaller footprint improves portability and handling in tight workspaces. Green Beam Self-leveling Lasers

Bosch

The GLL100-40G Green Beam Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser and the GCL100-40G Green Beam Self-Leveling Combination Laser with Plumb Points are both designed to improve visibility and performance on the jobsite. Using green-beam technology, the lasers project lines and points that appear up to four times brighter than standard red beams, making them easier to see, even in bright lighting and direct sunlight. Both models feature Bosch’s VisiMax technology, which continuously monitors temperature and power consumption to optimize beam visibility while helping prevent overheating. The system also helps maximize battery efficiency and extend runtime throughout the workday. Built to withstand demanding jobsite conditions, the lasers include deeply recessed laser glass windows for added protection and carry an IP64 rating to resist dust and water exposure. Built for durability, the lasers include impact-protected electronics, a rugged rubber over-mold and a locking pendulum to help withstand tough jobsite environments. For faster, easier setup, both models are equipped with tripod mounting points and rare earth magnets with strong holding power for secure attachment to metal surfaces. FWCCA Annual Convention and Trade Show

The FWCCA will hold its 2026 Southeastern Wall & Ceiling Annual Convention and Trade Show at the Caribe Royale Resort. This year’s show will feature more than 100 exhibitors and approximately 700 attendees, with many new, as well as returning exhibitors. There will be a trade show as in years past, which will be followed by the Association’s annual Industry Awards Luncheon and presentation on incoming officers and directors. Saturday night’s theme party will be another great event. In conjunction with the other festivities, there will be a silent auction throughout the evening to raise funds for the FWCCA Scholarship Program.
