CertainTeed has introduced a new credentialed contractor program for installers of its CertaSpray spray foam insulation, offering a professional badge of honor and access to advanced training and resources that will establish members as the most knowledgeable and trusted contractors in the marketplace.
CertainTeed Credentialed Contractors (C3) represent the elite in safety and product knowledge in the spray foam business. Members are required to complete hands-on training through CertainTeed’s industry-leading program, or must have completed similar product installation and American Chemistry Council safety training within the past two years. C3 installers must also have a documented ongoing respiratory safety program for their team—which CertainTeed can help develop, if needed.
“The C3 program is a natural extension of our industry-leading technical support and spray foam training programs. It is our way of supporting our most dedicated contractors by strengthening their businesses and helping them stand out in the marketplace,” said Shawn Beears, manager of product management at CertainTeed Insulation. “Knowing that a project was completed by a C3 installer also gives builders and homeowners confidence that it will provide a lifetime of comfort and energy savings.”
C3 honored companies benefit from the CertaSpray Applicator Business Fund, where every purchase of CertaSpray spray foam earns funds that can be reinvested in their businesses. These funds can be used for business-building advertising and promotional materials, additional Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance accreditation training, or everyday spray foam equipment and parts from CertainTeed Machine Works, where all C3 program members also receive exclusive free two-day shipping.
Additional benefits of the program include premier C3 listing on CertainTeed’s online Find a Pro tool, access to the company’s complete set of spray foam and Building Science training programs, and branded marketing materials such as jobsite signs and truck decals to help promote the designation to customers.
Training for C3 certification includes proper equipment selection, basic spray foam science and safety guidelines. CertainTeed training courses have certified hundreds of spray foam contractors throughout the country, and its commitment to providing technical support in the field ensures every application achieves maximum results. The company recently launched a mobile CertaSpray Field Troubleshooting app for iOS and Android devices, putting troubleshooting and safety information at installers’ fingertips
