Although America is the world’s largest producer of food, children and adults face hunger every day across the nation. With over 42 million people struggling with hunger in the United States (according to Feeding America), PCL construction continues its fight to end hunger. In 2017, ten U.S. offices donated $5,000 to local food banks for a total of $50,000.

“Our work with the food banks across the United States is one of the cornerstones of our community outreach efforts at PCL,” said Shaun Yancey, President and COO of PCL’s U.S. Operations. “Our extensive operations in these communities give us a sense of responsibility to do everything we can to support them and help them thrive.”

This year marks the ninth consecutive year PCL has helped provide local families with holiday meals and food security. Since 2009, PCL has donated over $1 million to local food banks across the United States. This year, donations were made to the following food banks:

Bakersfield – Golden Empire Gleaners
