Dan Bamdas appreciates efficiency. As a former lawyer turned builder, Bamdas looks for reliable products that help him save time and money on the creation of his spec homes. He’s found both in precast concrete products from Northeast Precast.

Saving Time and Adding Value

“For a house we recently constructed in Short Hills, N.J., we saved at least six weeks of construction time by using a Superior Walls Xi foundation,” says Bamdas, principal of Bamdas Development Company. “There’s two ways Northeast Precast adds value to my projects. First, they create a customized foundation and have it installed in just a few days. Second, they use a PreSpan Floor Plank system that adds stability to the home while providing me with finished space under the garage. This area is valuable for homeowners and would have gone unused without this impressive product.”

A Custom Home

The custom spec home, built at 17 Delwick Ln in Short Hills, includes a variety of products from Northeast Precast including a Superior Walls foundation, solid exterior window wells, radius wall panels, interior ledge (shoeblock top), and galvanized brackets. Additionally, instead of using conventional steel beams and galvanized B-decking options, the Prespan Floor Plank was used beneath the garage. The Prespan system eliminates the need for interior structural supports and provides a completely open space with no columns or load bearing walls.

A Strong Foundation

“I truly love being able to pre-order my foundation and have it installed in just a couple days,” says Bamdas. “The precast concrete walls are strong, tough, and efficient. My recommendation is not to use any other wall system. I’m a convert. I really don’t believe there’s any better foundation system than you can find with Superior Walls.”
