The new data is based on a comprehensive survey of construction firms and includes data on how many firms are coping with labor shortages and what some of the possible causes are for tight labor conditions.

                                 

Ken Simonson, the association's chief economist, will release the new worker shortage data and identify measures public officials should take to increase the supply of qualified workers. Sarah Hodges, senior director, construction business line at Autodesk, will discuss how technology can help address workforce shortages. And construction contractors will discuss local labor conditions and the steps they are taking to cope with them.
