On Wednesday, October 28 at 2 p.m. EDT, the Associated General Contractors of America will release new data showing the ongoing impacts of the coronavirus on the construction sector and its impacts on metro area construction employment. The new data is based on a survey of construction firms and includes details on how the coronavirus is impacting demand for construction, hiring plans and job site safety. Survey results will be available by construction type, region and by state* The association will also release its analysis of changes in metro area construction employment between September 2019 and September 2020 for 358 different metro areas.

Ken Simonson, the trade association’s chief economist, will release the survey results and metro employment data, and provide his analysis of how the coronavirus is impacting the construction sector.
