Makita U.S.A., Inc. has released the 40V max XGT Brushless 1/2-inch Mixer for use in both residential and general construction to mix concrete, mortar and more.

“With the power capabilities of Makita’s 40-volt max XGT system, the new 1/2-inch mixer makes a great addition,” said Rudy Jansen, product marketing manager for residential construction at Makita U.S.A., Inc. “With its power capability, ergonomic dual-handle design and mechanical two-speed gearing, the GTU01 can accomplish mixing a variety of materials while maintaining comfort and control.”

High Power and Heavy Duty

The new 40-volt max XGT Brushless Cordless 1/2-inch Mixer is a high-power cordless option for heavy-duty operation, such as mixing concrete and mortar. The 1/2-inch mixer features a brushless motor and offers variable speed control to match the speed of the tool to the application.

The mixer features a variable speed dial that allows the user to adjust the speed from 0-500 revolutions per minute in Speed 1 and 0-920 revolutions per minute in Speed 2. A soft start suppresses start-up reaction for more control and better accuracy.

Convenience Features

Convenience features include a dual-handle design with an ergonomic soft grip for excellent control and comfort. The mixer features a protective cover that helps prevent battery contamination from splash back from the mixing compound, and there is also a rubber trigger cover that protects the trigger from mixing compound buildup.

For added durability in harsh job site conditions, the mixer features Extreme Protection Technology, which is engineered for improved dust and water resistance. A protective cover helps prevent battery contamination from mixing compound splash back.
