Makita Releases 18V LXT Brushless 5” Dry/Wet Masonry Saw

New cordless saw offers wet and dry cutting of tile, masonry, concrete, and more

Makita 18V
October 1, 2021

Makita U.S.A., Inc. is pleased to launch the 18V LXT Brushless 5” Dry/Wet Masonry Saw, Tool Only (XCC01Z). This powerful cordless saw is designed for demanding applications, such as cutting tile, masonry, concrete and more.

The motor delivers 8,800 RPM. It has a high depth of cut, with a capacity of up to 1-9/16” at 90-degrees. The XCC01Z attaches to an optional guide rail with a guide rail adapter (both sold separately), to provide straight, accurate cutting.

For dry cutting, the saw is equipped with Auto-start Wireless System (AWS), which utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless power-on/off communication between the tool and an AWS-equipped dust extractor (sold separately).

The saw includes an integrated water delivery system with water flow adjustment, which continuously feeds water for OSHA Table 1 Compliance in masonry cutting applications.

Contractors seeking a system compliant with the OSHA Silica Standard (RULE 29 CFR 1926.1153) can use the Makita website to quickly search by application, model number, and more.

18V LXT System

The LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries, takes a user from power tools to outdoor power equipment to get the job done. Makita 18V LXT Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. The 18V LXT Brushless5” Dry/Wet Masonry Saw offers cordless cutting of tile, masonry, concrete and more.

For improved tool performance and extended battery life, both driver-drills feature Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.
