XPS Foam Core CI Product

XPS Foam Core CI Product

HydroBlok

The HB One Backer CI brings continuous insulation to stucco and stone veneer wall assemblies—without the need to stack multiple exterior layers. The product is an integrated 4-in-1 panel that combines a secondary WRB, continuous insulation, lath, and scratch coat into a single system, simplifying wall construction and reducing coordination risk on the jobsite. Built around an XPS foam core reinforced with fiberglass mesh and cementitious coatings, the panel provides stable thermal performance and true continuous insulation to help minimize thermal bridging and support energy-code compliance. R-values vary by thickness. It installs using familiar tools and integrates with leading acrylic stucco systems, offering a lightweight, durable substrate designed for consistent field execution. ICC-ES Evaluation Report ESR-5559 is published. Learn more at hydroblok.com.

Cold-applied Waterproofing Membrane

Blow-in Wool Insulation

Knauf

The company's flagship blown-in insulation offers exceptional acoustic performance and temperature control for year-round satisfaction. This unbonded fiberglass insulation provides excellent coverage and optimal thermal performance. Best of all, it’s Certified Asthma & Allergy Friendly and Verified Healthier Air to contribute to a healthy built environment. To achieve certification, products are rigorously tested to meet stringent health standards, including:

  • Formaldehyde-free
  • Extremely low dust levels post-installation
  • Extremely low VOC emissions
  • Contains no LBC Red List Chemicals

Engineered for fast, clean installs, Performance+ Jet Stream Ultra blown-in insulation feeds smoothly and disperses evenly in attics and cavities with low dust and minimal handling. For more information, visit knaufnorthamerica.com.

Structural Insulated Wall Sheathing

Structural Insulated Wall Sheathing

Owens Corning

EZSheath is a sheathing product that delivers structural reinforcement, continuous R-5 insulation per inch and a code-compliant air and water barrier in one integrated step. Additionally, it replaces the need for house wraps or exterior moisture barriers, or the need to schedule multiple installations of various layers. It simplifies the installation process into a single cycle. Builders go from a three-step exterior enclosure to just one. The sheathing installs just like OSB, eliminating the learning curve that usually comes with adopting new building materials. Builders can install it directly to studs using standard tools, including a pneumatic nailer and follow traditional fastening patterns. At 50 percent lighter than OSB, the panels are faster to carry, stage and position, reducing fatigue, improving handling safety and accelerating enclosure speed. Closed-cell Spray Foam

Closed-cell Spray Foam

Huntsman Building Solutions

Icynene HFO 200 closed-cell spray foam insulation is an efficient insulating material. The spray foam insulation systems, when properly installed, deliver energy savings of up to 50 percent. This product provides an inherent air barrier with low moisture vapor permeability and excellent resistance to water. The medium-density foam provides sheer and racking strength to wall assemblies in building applications. With a global warming potential equal to 1, widespread adoption of HFO 200 could save about 60 million metric tons per year of C02 equivalent. Energy-efficient EPS Insulation

Energy-efficient EPS Insulation

Atlas

ThermalStar DripWave is an energy-efficient expanded polystyrene insulation designed to enhance performance in exterior one-coat stucco assemblies and may also be used in other exterior wall systems, subject to project requirements. The patented vertically oriented wave pattern creates a controlled drainage space between the foam insulation and the water-resistive barrier. In the event incidental moisture is present, the integrated drainage plane allows it to safely drain and dry, supporting long-term wall durability. Consisting of closed-cell, lightweight, and resilient EPS, it meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM C578, Type II, Standard Specification for Rigid, Cellular Polystyrene Thermal Insulation. The product provides long-term R-value, compressive resistance and dimensional stability. For more information, visit atlasmoldedproducts.com.

Spray Foam Sealant

Spray Foam Sealant

DuPont/Great Stuff

Great Stuff Wide Spray Foam Sealant is a broad-coverage spray foam ideal for air-sealing seams, joints, large gaps, irregular surfaces and hard-to-reach spaces. This one-component foam sealant expands up to one inch, creating a durable, airtight and weather-resistant seal. Designed for fast application, it adheres to both vertical and horizontal surfaces without sagging. With a simple, hassle-free formula that requires no complex setup, mixing, coveralls or respirators, the spray can streamline the process, helping to save both time and money. The all-in-one kit includes two 18-ounce cans of spray, covering up to 60 linear feet when sprayed in a 4-inch wide band. For more information, visit greatstuff.dupont.com.

Fastener for WRB and Air-Barrier Insulative Products

TRUFAST

The Thermal-Grip TubeSeal fastener is designed to help seal blind fastener penetrations of your WRB and air-barrier when mechanically attaching continuous insulation. Mineral wool and rigid foam insulation must be mechanically attached, and often over a WRB or air-barrier. With the product, one enables sealing on the facer of the WRB or air-barrier sandwiched between the substrate and the layer of continuous insulation.

  • Thermal-Grip TubeSeal insulation fasteners are designed to seal blind fastener penetrations of a WRB or air-barrier.
  • The Thermal-Grip TubeSeal product is available in multiple lengths for insulation nominal thickness of 1, 1½, 2, 2½, 3, 3½ and 4 inches.
  • UV resistant ether-based polyurethane tube is suitable for all weather climates.
  • Patented and/or patent pending.

Vapor Control for Insulative Wall Applications

Vapor Control for Insulative Wall Applications

ROCKWOOL

Smartrock is adaptable to changing moisture and humidity conditions. They vary their permeance in response to the average ambient relative humidity of their environment. In relatively dry conditions, the membrane is less permeable and limits the flow of water vapor across the membrane. If relative humidity levels around the membrane rise, like that resulting from built-in or incidental moisture, the membrane’s permeance increases to allow water vapor to diffuse across the membrane, allowing inward drying to occur. This smart membrane technology can reduce the risk of trapping moisture within an assembly as well as the risk of damage from freeze-thaw cycles in the masonry. It also reduces the risk of rot and mold and ultimately supports the durability of the assembly and the health and comfort of the building’s occupants. For more information, visit rockwool.com.
