I
heard this term and was not sure what it meant. After a little research, I
learned that “technocracy” was a movement that occurred during the American
Industrial Revolution.
Last
year was one of the bleakest in history for most of us economically. Yet Cincinnati’s Thompson
Plumbing, Heating & Cooling grew more than 50 percent in 2009.
I
have been told for years that solar photovoltaic panels will soon be cheap
enough and abundant enough for every building in the U.S. to have at least one
or two sitting on the roof or hanging on the wall.
As
the director of a national training program for plasterers, I help develop and
implement training criteria and curriculum materials for young people just
entering the trade. So, nothing gives me greater pleasure than to witness young
men and women, who’ve got a few years under their belt, excelling at the
craft-especially in a down economy!
