Rockwood Sustainable Solutions unveiled Tennessee’s first drywall recycling plant in Lebanon, Tennessee. In addition to keeping this malodorous material out of the landfill, the company has also partnered with another Lebanon business, Arrowhead Ag, which will further process it and use the gypsum for soil amendment products and the paper as animal bedding.

CertainTeed’s newest CertainTeed Architectural facility in Conyers, Georgia, will be co-located with finishing partner Quality Powder Coating, drastically reducing the distance products must travel to finalize production, lowering its CO² emissions by over 50 million pounds per year.

Georgia-Pacific officially opened its new gypsum wallboard production facility in Sweetwater, Texas, on Oct. 5. Initially announced in September 2020, the $325 million facility is Georgia-Pacific’s second gypsum wallboard production facility in Nolan County and the first Georgia-Pacific has built since 2004.
