The construction industry added fewer jobs in January but on a year-over-year basis, industry employment has increased by 178,000 jobs, an increase of 2.2 percent. 

The SDI transferred the responsibility for maintaining 12, S900 series American National Standards, formerly maintained by the American Iron and Steel Institute, to the Steel Framing Industry Association for management by the newly formed SFIA Standards Committee.
