ATAS International now offers two courses that have been approved by the International Design Continuing Education Council for one CEU. Those courses join the many others that ATAS has had approved by the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System, Green Business Certification Inc. and International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants.
Linetec has added Aaron du Pont as a client development manager serving Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. He will assist manufacturers of architectural aluminum components, products and systems with their selection and specification of paint coatings, anodize and specialty finishes.
Jonathan Humble, FAIA, NCARB, LEED BD+C, regional director of the American Iron and Steel Institute Construction Technical Program, was presented with the Cool Roof Rating Council’s Lifetime Award at its annual meeting held on June 14 in Las Vegas.
It took a combination of Dri-Design aluminum panels — flat, tapered series and stenciled graphic panels — to create the entrance of the Saugus Middle High School in Saugus, Massachusetts. The design goal was to depict the town’s history, which is steeped in iron works, ice and lobstering.
