The American Concrete Institute has opened a third Resource Center in Columbia, Maryland, to serve Mid-Atlantic-based communities in the concrete industry.

The ninth annual ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards showcased dozens of innovative concrete projects from around the world. The “Overall Excellence” award was presented to Quay Quarter Tower, located in Sydney.

The ACI Foundation began accepting applications from graduate and undergraduate students for the 2024-2025 academic year on July 5. Eight new fellowships and one new scholarship have been added, bringing the total annual awards to 46.

The American Concrete Institute is pleased to recognize several individuals for their outstanding contributions and dedication to ACI and the concrete industry. The Fall 2023 awardees consist of personal and paper award winners who will be recognized at the ACI Concrete Convention on Oct. 29-Nov. 2.

The ACI Foundation’s Concrete Innovation Council gathered once again with participants and presenters to discuss technology and innovation at the 2023 Technology Forum. The successful event took place Aug. 29-31 at the Benson Portland A Hilton Curio Collection Hotel in Portland, Oregon.

The American Concrete Institute is pleased to bring the ACI Concrete Convention to Boston. Known as the world’s gathering place for advancing concrete, the convention will take place Oct. 29 – Nov. 2.

The ACI Foundation’s Concrete Research Council selected 11 research projects to receive grants this year. The CRC seeks concrete research projects that further the knowledge and sustainability of concrete materials, construction and structures in coordination with ACI Technical Committees.

The ACI Foundation has created a new fellowship to honor the retirement and legacy of ACI Executive Vice President Ronald G. Burg.
