The World of Concrete, the leading global concrete and masonry industry connector, has launched a brand-new award program, dedicated to recognizing and showcasing the most innovative and forward-thinking equipment, materials, tools and services available in the concrete and masonry markets. The Innovative Product Awards, powered by World of Concrete, will feature many items on exhibit during the 2023 World of Concrete in Las Vegas, Jan. 17-19.

NEx: An ACI Center of Excellence for Nonmetallic Building Materials is pleased to welcome ICC Evaluation Service as a new Allied Organization. NEx has signed a MOU with ICC Evaluation Service to create a partnership in advancing the use of nonmetallic building materials.

Nexii announced its latest project: a series of new, sustainable service plazas along the New York Thruway. Nexii has so far completed 10 buildings, with 13 more to come as part of this ongoing infrastructure improvement.

The American Concrete Institute announced the availability of a new series of webinars, the ACI Building Officials Webinar Series, beginning this month. The webinar series will focus on highlighted topics specifically for building officials that have been approved for professional development hours from the International Code Council.

The eighth annual ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards showcased dozens of innovative concrete projects from around the world. The “Overall Excellence” award was presented to Chau Chak Wing Museum, located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

While exhibiting and participating in PROCEMCO in Cartagena, Colombia, the American Concrete Institute and the Global Cement and Concrete Association were able to formalize their cooperative efforts by signing an International Partnership Agreement. This new agreement formalizes the desire to collaboratively develop and disseminate information on concrete, concrete structures and especially on concrete sustainability.

The American Concrete Institute is pleased to recognize several individuals for their outstanding contributions and dedication to ACI and the concrete industry. The Fall 2022 awardees consist of personal and paper award winners who were recognized at the ACI Concrete Convention on Oct. 23-27.
