JFE Shoji America announced today the successful completion of the previously announced acquisition of CEMCO, effective Oct. 4. CEMCO, LLC will continue as the premier manufacturer of cold-formed steel framing products under the leadership of President and CEO Tom Porter.

CEMCO FireRip is a composite steel angle incased in fire-rated drywall that provides unencumbered dynamic movement, per UL-2079 5th edition. FireRip comes in 8-foot lengths and three different sizes to provide unencumbered fire-rated joint protection for 2-, 3- and 4-inch joints.

JFE Shoji Corp. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all the outstanding shares of California Expanded Metal Products Co. from the Poliquin family ownership group.
