PRO: An ACI Center of Excellence for Advancing Concrete Industry Productivity has been launched by the American Concrete Institute. As a catalyst for solving the barriers of constructability to advance concrete construction productivity, PRO will collaborate with designers, materials suppliers and contractors to identify and resolve issues that negatively impact productivity in concrete construction.

The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute is accepting entries through Feb. 24, 2023, for its annual awards program, which acknowledges outstanding achievement in creative design, technical innovation and best practices in the use of cold-formed steel and recognizes individuals who have volunteered significant time and talent to the cold-formed steel industry. The 2023 CFSEI awards will be presented in three categories: Design Excellence, Creative Detail and the John P. Matsen Award for Distinguished Service.
Recognized for sustainable design excellence, Toronto Metropolitan University’s Daphne Cockwell Health Sciences Complex in Toronto was honored by American Institute of Architects Committee on the Environment’s 25th annual COTE Top Ten Awards. This 28-story vertical campus also earned LEED Gold certification through the Canada Green Building Council.
